Inter Milan, one of two Italian representatives competing in the tournament in the United States. Will be the first game under new coach Christian Chivu, replacing Simone Inzaghi, who has moved to Al-Hilal.

Inter will have to do without Dumfries, as the right-sided wing-back sustained a muscular problem in the adductor.

He is certainly out of this first match. Then it remains to be seen if he can recover to face Urawa Red Diamonds and River Plate.

Carlos Augusto could switch over to the right flank, but it is entirely possible the Nerazzurri will throw new signing Luis Henrique straight into the mix.

The Brazilian was brought in from Olympique Marseille during the extra transfer window for the Club World Cup teams, at a cost of €23m plus bonuses.

Chivu could opt to move Carlos Augusto to right-back instead. Or could give new signing Luis Enrique from Olympique Marseille his first start.
